Your journey begins at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), the main international airport of Sri Lanka, located just north of Colombo.
Whether you're flying in from the America, Middle East, Asia, Europe, or The Pacific, this is your gateway to the island.

🚖 Airport Pickup Included

The tour package include complimentary airport pickup.
One of our team members will be waiting for you at the arrival area, holding a sign with your name. From there, you'll be transferred directly to your hotel — no stress, no hassle.

Feel free to arrive at any time on Day 1 but be aware that the airport arrival transfers are included on Day 1 between the hours of 11:00 and 24:00 from the Airport in Colombo to your hotel in Negombo. We will let you know your allocated pick-up time, provided you have supplied your flight details in advance. If you arrive outside of these hours (or arrive before Day 1), we recommend you book a private transfer with your host.

🧾 Before you Travel

Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.
Most visitors need to apply for a Sri Lankan Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) online. Recommended to do it prior than on arrival (higher fee).
Please make sure your flight details are mentioned in the booking accurately, or sent to us as soon as you know it.

🧳 On Arrival at the Airport

SIM cards are available at the arrival hall for tourist use. Alternatively purchase an eSIM from apps such as Saily.
Currency exchange and ATMs are available at the airport. While card payments are accepted in places, cash is still the dominant method of exchange. We recommend about Rs 30,000 (USD100) in cash for the trip for things such as gifts, lunches, snacks, tips, etc.
The drive from the airport is usually about 45 minutes to the hotel.

You’ll stay at comfortable 3- and 4-star hotels or resorts throughout the tour. Each day includes buffet-style breakfast and dinner served at the accommodation’s restaurant.

The meals typically offer a mix of Sri Lankan and international cuisine. Meals begin with dinner on Day 1 and end with breakfast on Day 6.

If you wish to order from the à la carte or set menu at the accommodation, these items will be at your own expense.

🍛What's Sri Lankan Food Like?

Sri Lankan food is a vibrant blend of flavour, colour, and culture — shaped by centuries of trade, tradition, and tropical produce. While it shares some traits with South Indian cuisine, it has its own unique identity, built on bold spices, coconut, fresh herbs, and local ingredients.

Rice and curry is the heart of every meal — not just one curry, but a spread of lentils, vegetables, and meat or seafood dishes, often paired with sambols, chutneys, and crispy papadums. You’ll also find delicious street-style snacks, savoury roti, and plenty of fresh seafood, especially along the coast.

Vegetarian and vegan options are widely available, and most dietary requirements can be catered for — just let us know when booking.

🌤️ Weather in Sri Lanka – What to Expect

Sri Lanka is a tropical island with warm weather throughout the year, making it a great destination no matter the season. Temperatures along the coast typically range from 27–32°C (81–90°F), while the central highlands are cooler, averaging 15–18°C (59–65°F).

Because your tour travels are through different parts of the country, you may experience a mix of conditions—plenty of sunshine, warm breezes, and the occasional tropical shower.

The tour is planned with seasonal weather patterns in mind, but we recommend packing light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, and a lightweight rain jacket—just in case.

This tour is designed to be hassle-free from start to finish. We want you to fully enjoy your Sri Lankan adventure without worrying about planning the logistics or missing the little things. Everything essential is taken care of — just show up, relax, and take it all in.

Tipping is not mandatory, but it’s customary and appreciated for good service. Suggested tipping amounts:

USD 20–40 for your main tour guide (for the entire trip)
USD 5–20 per driver
USD 3-15 total for activity guides

Of course, you are free to tip more or less and the amount should be reflective of your perception of service and quality - a tip is not compulsory and should only be given when you receive excellent service.

Hot Climate: What should I be aware of?

Sri Lanka is a tropical country, and some of the places we visit can get very hot and humid—especially during the warmer months. Shade might be limited at times, and temperatures can stay high even after sunset, which can make it harder for your body to cool down. To stay comfortable and safe, it’s important to wear light, breathable clothing, stay well-hydrated, and listen to your body. Heat can affect your energy levels and how much physical activity you can handle, even if you're usually active in cooler climates. Symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, or dehydration can happen if you're not careful. Our guides are trained to manage activities in warm weather and to support anyone who starts to feel unwell. If you're feeling off at any point during the trip, please let your guide know straight away so they can help you get the right care.
Can I leave my excess luggage somewhere?

Yes! Your main luggage will be securely stored in the tour vehicle at all times while you're on the move. For day-to-day activities and excursions, you'll only need to carry a small backpack with your essentials, keeping things light and easy.
What do I do about drinking water?

Tap water in Sri Lanka isn’t always suitable for your stomachs, so we’ve got you covered. Sealed drinking water will be provided throughout the tour, and all our accommodation partners offer access to safe drinking water. If you need more, bottled water is easily available at local stores along the way.
