OUR STORY
Cow Corner Cricket Tours was founded by Neranga Jayaweera, a lifelong cricketer born and raised in Sri Lanka. From captaining his school’s First XI team to leading premier club sides in New Zealand, cricket has always been more than just a sport to him.
After earning a university scholarship, Neranga moved to Christchurch, New Zealand, where he continued to pursue his love for the game. He represented Heathcote Cricket Club during his university years before moving to Wellington for work, where he played for the Johnsonville Cricket Club. He later went on to lead the Premier Team at the Sri Lankan Sports Club, competing in Cricket Wellington's Hazlett Trophy.
Blending his deep passion for cricket with an intimate knowledge of Sri Lanka’s landscapes, culture, and global cricketing network, Neranga founded Cow Corner Cricket Tours under the Jayaweera Group. His goal is simple — to give visiting teams the chance to experience Sri Lanka through the shared language of cricket, travel, and culture, delivering authentic hospitality and unforgettable memories both on and off the field.
